Findings would serve as benchmark for comparison of energy efficiency in future renovation and basis for conducting further audits for other parishes.
  • Stock take and analysis of all existing lifts under the ownership of the Catholic Diocese of Hong Kong, with focus on the age, maintenance history, proprietary maintenance and other maintenance agents
  • Talks to Deanery members in March and April 2013 on new requirements of building legislations (including building inspection scheme, window inspection scheme, energy efficiency, minor building works and unauthorized building works).
  • Circulation of relevant guidelines on building repairs and management to parishes
  • Preparation of checklist of Responsible Persons for mandatory building/window inspection scheme
  • Provide parish with advice on replacement/installation of LED lights
  • Application for Environment and Conservation Fund for retrofitting 4 lifts in the Catholic Diocese Centre approved in 2014 and special team formed to take up the project.
  • Initiate proposal for installation of lifts/escalator near Our Lady of the Rosary Church by Government via LegCo member
